QUEENS OF THE BLUES is a new production by Gina Coleman and Misty Blues which pays homage to the matriarchs of the blues …Bessie Smith, Big Mama Thornton, Ruth Brown and Koko Taylor. Gina enchants her audience with endearing stories and powerful performances of iconic songs from these pioneering women of color.
The Misty Blues band hail from Berkshire County Massachusetts and have been on the music scene since 1999. The core band consists of lead vocalist extraordinaire Gina Coleman born to sing the blues. Gina sings with gusto and pure vibrato. The band also, features Jason Webster on guitar Bill Patriquin on bass Ben Kohn on keyboards, Rob Tatten on drums and Aaron Dean on saxophone
